Wondering about artist and history?

The mark on the ring is a bit hard to make out in the picture. It looks like a < with two lines through it and one line beside it or an A with two lines instead of one and a line under it depending on what direction you are looking at it. A jewelry store told me it was made from silver with the side overlays and front designs being made out of brass. The clear stone is not a diamond. I purchased a bag of “scrap” jewelry at a church garage sale and this ring was in the bag. I would like to know if it has any value as the sale was to support a food pantry, if it has any value I would like to sell it and donate the money back to the food pantry. I am also very interested in the history and any artist information. Thanks for your help.

The ring shank is a cast piece. You can find these at local supply houses. The cost of the ring shank depends on the market price of silver, from the look I would guess this to be under $20. If the top is brass the ring is not going to be worth much more than scrap if you can find someone who wants it, otherwise if you like it I would wear it and spread the Native American style. Thanks for sharing.
